The Mara Naboisho Conservancy is located in the Greater Masai Mara region of Kenya. It is a privately owned wildlife conservancy that was formed in 2009 by the local Maasai people, Maasai landowners, and several tourism operators.
Together they developed a sustainable land management program to protect the natural environment, conserve wildlife, and promote responsible ecotourism. Mara Naboisho Conservancy is one of the largest conservancies around the Masai Mara National Reserve, covering an area of more than 55,000 hectares.

Mara Naboisho Conservancy is a product of a partnership between the Maasai people of Mara, Maasai landowners, and an international conservation organization to conserve land for wildlife in this important area of Kenya’s Masai Mara ecosystem.
The conservancy covers an impressive 50,000 acres and lies within the greater Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem. In 2010, Naboisho was officially recognized as a conservancy and today, the Mara Naboisho Conservancy consists of five parts: the Mara North Conservancy (MNC), Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Kimintet Group Ranch, Lemek Group Ranch, and Ol Chorro Oirowua.
The presence of the conservancy ensures that the wildlife protection efforts in Masai Mara extend to the community.
The Mara Naboisho Conservancy is located in the Maasai Mara, in south-western Kenya. It lies between the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Mara North Conservancy, with its borders extending to the Olare Orok river.
You can get to the conservancy by taking a road from Narok Town, which will take you about an hour. Alternatively, you can fly directly to the conservancy’s airstrip from Nairobi.
The best time to visit the Naboisho Conservancy is between July & October, when the Great Migration is in full force. During this period, you’ll be able to witness one of nature’s most spectacular events as millions of wildebeest and zebras make their annual journey across the plains.
Outside of the migration season, however, Mara Naboisho also has plenty to offer in the conservancy. There are beautiful views across the rolling hills & grasslands, as well as an abundance of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and more.
