Origins of Ol Kinyei Conservancy

Ol Kinyei Conservancy stands as the first-ever conservancy established within the expansive Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. This visionary project emerged through a collaboration between 171 Maasai landowners and a safari operator, setting aside land where wildlife thrives without human-made enclosures. To aid in ecological restoration, Maasai livestock are no longer permitted within the conservancy, allowing the land to recover from overgrazing. Wildebeest Migration in Ol Kinyei
